Los Angeles Attractions

Anyone visiting LA for the first time is likely to find the sheer number of different Los Angeles attractions quite daunting. There are theme parks, film studious, theatres, outdoor parks, beaches, museums, galleries, and much more to pack into your stay, and that is before you even start on the shopping, star spotting, and everything else that is on offer.

The best thing to do before visiting Los Angeles attractions is to plan your stay. The city is very large, and it is not a good idea to try and visit Disney Land and Venice Beach on the same day, as it will take hours of driving between the two locations to see them both, wasting precious time. Much better to look at a map, and plan to visit Los Angeles attractions that are closer together at the same time.

Amongst the most popular Los Angeles attractions for visitors are the beaches. Aside from being completely free to enjoy – aside from parking permits and the like, they offer you the chance to relax in the sun or play beach volley ball, surf, or have a barbeque. On Malibu and Santa Monica beaches to the north of the city centre, you can even go horse riding on the beach.

In the heart of the city, Los Angeles attractions such as the museums and Fashion district are very popular places to visit.

Of course, no visit to the city is complete without visiting Los Angeles attractions in Hollywood. As the centre of the US movie industry, Hollywood is home to many different studios including the Universal Studios complex. Much of this is now open to the public, and there are few places where you can get so close to the stars as you can when you explore the back lot and see the shows – you might even get to see a scene being shot if you are very lucky.
